Hope Matschner
Intern of Counseling
My name is Hope Matschner, and I am currently working toward my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Colorado–Colorado Springs. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Iona University, with minors in Criminal Justice and Neuroscience.
I provide individual therapy for adolescents and adults, with a special interest in working with student-athletes and individuals experiencing anxiety, life transitions, helplessness, and impostor syndrome. I am passionate about helping clients explore their identities, build resilience, and develop tools to navigate both personal and academic pressures.
My approach is grounded in existential, person-centered, and cognitive behavioral therapies, with a strong humanistic and trauma-informed foundation. I strive to bring empathy, authenticity, and honesty into the counseling space and aim to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered.
Recognizing that you want more from life can be both hopeful and overwhelming. Reaching out for support is the first step toward creating change, and I am honored to walk alongside you as you work toward clarity, confidence, and a more fulfilling life.
